The platform is versatile and suitable for different training situations. It can be used both in groundwork and in calm, structured training sessions where balance, body awareness and concentration are the main focus. The platform is particularly useful for:calm groundworkCoordination and balance trainingconscious weight shiftCircus lessonsTraining sessions that focus on presence, calmness, and clarityThe clear structure provided by the platform creates natural pauses during training. The horse can calm down, collect itself, and consciously remain in the moment – without speed or performance pressure. The platform is therefore not a special device for a single purpose, but a flexible training tool that can be adapted to different training goals and levels of training.
Yes. The platform is very suitable for beginners – both horse and human.Especially in the beginning, a clear, calm training environment is important. The podium provides guidance without creating pressure. It encourages you to work slowly, allow breaks, and concentrate on the essentials.Training with the platform requires no prior knowledge or special techniques. Horse and human can approach each other step by step, gain experience and build trust – at their own pace. The calming effect of the platform encourages less correction and more observation. This makes it particularly suitable for anyone who wants to work with their horse consciously, clearly, and without haste.
Yes. The platform is expressly suitable even for insecure and inexperienced horses.A calm, clear surface is particularly important for these horses.Because of its stable, reliable position on the ground, the platform remains predictable and does not change suddenly. This gives the horse orientation and time to familiarize itself with the situation. It can look around, examine the platform, and make contact at its own pace. The podium exerts no pressure. It offers a clearly defined area that helps the horse to orient itself and calm down. Many horses benefit from this because less correction is needed and they can develop confidence independently. This creates a calm introduction to podium work – without haste, without pressure and with a clear, safe training framework.
The platform can be integrated very well into groundwork – especially when it's not about speed, but about clarity and presence. In groundwork, the platform can serve as a calm, fixed point. It structures the training, provides orientation, and offers the horse a clear task without constantly putting it into motion. Transitions, breaks, and deliberate moments can be specifically designed with it.Especially in groundwork, the platform creates a natural opportunity for slowing down. The horse can stop, stand, and get its bearings while the human can observe, breathe, and consciously influence the horse – without constantly intervening. Thus, the platform complements groundwork not as an "extra", but as a calming element that supports focus, communication and quality in training.
Yes. The platform is designed so that the horse can approach it freely from all sides. There is no designated front or back, and no preferred orientation. This allows the horse to initiate contact independently and choose the approach that suits it best. The human has less to organize or dictate what should happen next. This fosters more initiative and a more natural training flow. This openness also offers advantages in further training: The horse can be calmly led or sent around the platform without one side being considered "right" or "wrong". This promotes clarity, consistency, and calmness throughout the entire process.
Yes. The platform is also suitable for large and heavy horses. The construction is designed from the ground up for high load-bearing capacity. Thanks to its modular design, internal cross braces are already integrated . These ensure that the weight is evenly absorbed and distributed. Additional reinforcements or optional components are not necessary – stability is a design feature from the outset. In training, this means the platform remains stable and reliable, even when a heavy horse mounts or shifts its weight. This predictability is crucial for both horse and rider to feel safe and work in a relaxed manner. As with any training device, the following applies: The platform should be used on a level, suitable surface so that its stability can be optimally utilized.
Each pedestal is carefully handcrafted. This incorporates both the craftsmanship of the carpentry profession and practical experience from training work. The focus here is not on speed, but on a design that functions reliably in training and lasts in the long term. Many considerations went into the development of the platform – both from a practical training perspective and from a craftsmanship standpoint. The shape, construction, and details were deliberately chosen to ensure stability, quietness, and everyday usability. The product is manufactured with a focus on clean lines, meticulous workmanship, and a well-thought-out design. This results in a platform that not only looks good but also proves its worth in daily training.
No – and that's intentional.Wood is a natural material and each pedestal is handcrafted. Grain, color, or small features such as knots may therefore vary. These characteristics are part of the material and make each pedestal unique.Even individual details may differ slightly over time. These include, for example, surfaces or functional elements such as the non-slip mat or handle solutions. We select these components with a focus on quality, safety, and everyday usability, and adapt them further as needed. These variations are not accidental, but stem from our commitment to continuously developing and improving our platforms. Changes do not represent a step backward, but rather a conscious decision in favor of functionality, durability, and optimal use during training.
Yes. The platform is designed so that it can usually be assembled and disassembled by one person. The individual parts are easy to handle and can be positioned without effort. The assembly is straightforward and easy to understand. The connections between the parts are designed for easy assembly and disassembly during normal use. Depending on usage and storage duration, it may be helpful to have a simple tool on hand if needed. In everyday use, this means: The platform can be used flexibly and stored away again without necessarily requiring a second person.
The platform is designed for a long service life. The design, material thickness, and workmanship are tailored to withstand the demands of daily training.Short-term exposure to moisture, such as a rain shower or wet ground, will not harm the pedestal. However, to ensure its longevity and ensure you enjoy the product for years to come, we recommend storing the pedestal in a dry place and not leaving it permanently exposed to the elements.Currently, our platforms are untreated . This is a conscious decision in favor of a natural material and honest use in everyday training. As with all wooden products, dry storage significantly contributes to extending their lifespan. With proper handling, the platform is a durable training companion that can be used reliably for many years.
No. The platform is designed to remain easy to handle in everyday use.Its modular design allows it to be broken down into two parts, which makes carrying it much easier. The platform can usually be moved easily by one person. It is designed for flexible use in everyday training without requiring excessive strength to handle.
To join the two halves of the platform, it is recommended to first place the platform on the footing . This allows the parts to be aligned without tension. The four screws are then inserted through the provided holes and tightened by hand using the star knobs .The rule is: tighten it enough so that everything sits calmly and securely – without excessive force . Tightening it excessively is not necessary.Once everything is connected, the platform is simply turned over and can be used immediately. If the platform is stored or transported in sections, we recommend reinserting the screws into the designated holes . This ensures all parts stay together and nothing gets lost.
Working on a podium encourages slowing down and working mindfully. It's not about reaching a specific target image as quickly as possible, but about enjoying the shared learning process.Even small steps are valuable. A first contact, a hoof, a brief stand, or a quiet pause can all be considered a success. Working on a pedestal is not competitive gymnastics. She needs calm, understanding and an expectation that gives the horse space – without pressure and without haste. At the same time, the platform opens up many creative possibilities.Whether mounting, stepping over, standing only with the hindquarters on the platform, dismounting at the front, circling around it, or simply using the platform as a calm center point in training – there is no fixed “right” or “wrong”.Anything is possible, as long as it feels right for both horse and human.Work on a pedestal invites you to let your imagination run wild and think outside the box – or rather, outside the octagon .New ideas often arise quite naturally when you listen to, observe, and experiment with the horse. This way of working has a calming and connecting effect. You pause, breathe, become calmer – and perceive progress more consciously. This benefits not only the horse, but also the person. Our experience shows that if a platform is placed in the arena, the horses almost always find it immediately interesting. They go over, sniff it, and explore it curiously. Many seem to enjoy standing on top – calm, present, and a little bit regal. This is precisely the special appeal of working with a platform.
Yes. The platform is intentionally designed to be divisible .This significantly simplifies transport, carrying and handling in everyday life. The two parts are secured together using four sturdy screw connections . These ensure that the platform remains stable, secure, and load-bearing once assembled. The connection is designed for regular use and is not a temporary solution.Under normal use, the parts can be tightened and loosened by hand. However, if the platform has been assembled for an extended period, it may be advisable to use a simple tool to loosen the connection. A wrench will suffice. The divisibility is not just a matter of handling, but an integral part of the design and contributes to the stability and load-bearing capacity of the platform.
The surface of the platform is designed to be slip-resistant.An anti-slip surface is always part of our standard equipment and an integral component of the platform. For us, security is not an optional extra, but a prerequisite. Therefore, every platform is manufactured with a non-slip surface as standard – regardless of the area of use or training level. The surface provides a secure footing when mounting and dismounting and helps the horse to move calmly and reliably on the platform.
The platform is very stable and designed for quiet, safe working. The special octagonal shape ensures that the pedestal rests on the ground with multiple contact points and that the weight is distributed evenly. This ensures the platform remains stable and predictable even when the horse shifts its weight or cautiously approaches mounting. Sudden tipping is significantly impeded. This stability is no accident, but a key feature of the design. It builds trust, reduces uncertainty, and forms the basis for a clear, safe training framework – especially for sensitive or inexperienced horses.
The platform is designed in such a way that tipping and slipping during normal training are significantly more difficult. The shape and the large surface area ensure that the platform lies calmly on the ground and that movements of the horse are not directly translated into instability.Additionally, the non-slip surface provides a secure footing when climbing and standing. In practice, this means that the platform remains predictable and does not suddenly change its position, which is particularly important for sensitive or cautious horses. As with any training device, the platform should always be used on a level, suitable surface. This ensures optimal stability and safe operation.
The stable lying position of the platform is achieved through the interplay of shape, construction, and contact surface. The octagonal design ensures that the pedestal rests on the ground with several evenly distributed contact points and adapts well to the surface. This means the horse's weight is distributed over a larger area rather than concentrated at a single point. Movements are absorbed instead of being transmitted – the platform remains stable, solid, and predictable. This calmness is crucial in training: The horse senses a stable, reliable surface and can concentrate on standing and balancing, instead of having to react to compensatory movements. This is precisely what supports relaxed work and fosters trust.
